S.N.A.C.K. Resource

Our youth today are consuming more fast foods in super-size quantities and spending more time watching TV, sitting at computers, or using other forms of electronic media entertainment such as play stations, DVD’s and VCR’s, CD and MP3 players, IPods, and the list goes on. Inadequate physical activity and poor eating habits are resulting in associated increases in hypokinetic diseases or conditions such as increasing obesity, increase in Type-2 Diabetes, heart disease/stroke, high blood pressure, some forms of cancer, and escalating health care costs. Sedentary living is a known threat to health!

The S.N.A.C.K. Education Kit was developed as a response to this ‘health crisis!’ Our mission is to help reverse the unhealthy Australian trend towards obesity, diabetes, heart disease and other undesirable health conditions. Schools play a key role for healthy nutrition and physical activity strategies. All teachers are teachers of healthy lifestyle education!
